Description
Long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) are important regulators of many biological processes. Yet, their role in plant responses to challenging situations is just being uncovered. In our lab, we have identified several Arabidopsis lncRNAs having a role in abiotic stress tolerance. Some of them accumulate when Arabidopsis is subjected to stress conditions. Others, however, decrease in response to different stresses. Our ultimate objective is to unveil the molecular mechanisms underlying their mode of action.
