More than 100 Spanish researchers will meet on June 17 and 18 in the Main Lecture Hall of the Biological Research Center (CIB-CSIC) to share the scientific advances generated by the 45 research groups, which are the members of RedBAL on the significance of lactic acid bacteria in food and health.
The 13th Meeting of the RedBAL is organized by three CSIC research centers: IPLA, CIB and CIAL, and it will be attended by researchers from 29 Spanish institutions located in different Universities, Public Research Organizations, Technological Centers and Health Research Institutes.
The Spanish research in BAL includes the study of the relevance in health of these bacteria as members of the human and animal microbiota, the evaluation of their role in quality and food safety and the characterization of BAL strains or the products derived from them for their biotechnological and biomedical applications.
