
Next November 20th 2018 from 11:00h will be celebrated at the Main Lecture Hall of Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas the Award Ceremony 2019 of the Real Sociedad Española de Química which will distinguish several Spanish scientists being awarded for their contributions in the field of chemistry.
The Golden Medal of the RSEQ is awarded to Dr. Miquel Àngel Pericàs Brondo (Instituto de Investigación Química de Cataluña, ICIQ). The recognition awards for distinguished research careers are given to Dr. Enrique Guitián Rivera (Universidad de Santiago de Compostela) and Dr. Mª Ángeles Monge Bravo (Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid, ICMM-CSIC). The Research Excelence Awards 2019 are received by Dr. Rosario Fernández Fernández (Universidad de Sevilla), Dr. Leticia González Herrero (Universidad de Viena, Austria), Dr. José Ramón Galán Mascarós (Instituto de Investigación Química de Cataluña, ICIQ) and Dr. Vicente Moliner Ibáñez (Universidad Jaime I). The Prize for educational and outreach areas of pre-university education is awarded to Dr. Aureli Caamaño Ros, professor of physics and chemistry (already retired).
The event will be chaired by Dr. Enrique J. de la Rosa, CIB Director, Antonio M. Echavarren, President of the RSEQ, and Dr. Concepción Gimeno (RSEQ Vicepresident). Those members of the RSEQ who have belong to the society for more than 45 years will also be distinguished during the ceremony that will end with a conference entitled “Process of painting vehicles by cathodic electrodeposition”, given by Dr. José Ignacio Anaya Sanz (Universidad Complutense de Madrid).
