
The SusBind project on “SUStainable bio BINDers”, with participation of two CSIC institutes (Centro de Investigaciones Biológicas-Madrid and Instituto de Recursos Naturales y Agrobiología de Sevilla), has been granted with € 4.1 million from the H2020 “Bio-Based Industries” Joint Undertaking and was officially launched during the kick-off meeting celebrated in May 23-25 in Tulln, Austria, hosted by the coordinating company RTDS Group.
Prof. Angel T. Martinez from the group of Biotechnology for Lignocellulosic Biomass will lead the CIB contribution to the project, focusing on lab scale production and utilization of oxidative enzymes in the development of the bio-based adhesives for both particle and fibre boards.
